Do not confuse a valve with an igniter
The Zip’s easy-turn control adjusts gas flow; it is not an integrated ignition system. Some retailer wording is unclear on this point. Read the manufacturer’s specification and carry the required lighting source.
The Flash incorporates ignition into its control. It is still sensible to carry an appropriate backup lighter on a trip where a failed spark would leave you unable to prepare meals. Practise the lighting sequence outdoors before leaving home.
Choose a cup around your meals
