Start with the jobs you want it to do
For meals and games, assess the surface size, smoothness and knee room. For frequent moves, assembly and packed shape may matter more. If the table is intended for cooking, check its explicit suitability with your stove rather than choosing by material alone.
Think about the weather routine too. A table that will be put away after each meal has different practical demands from one you hope to leave outside throughout a stay. Follow the selected product’s care instructions in either case.

Surface and care differences
A broad bamboo top can provide a continuous working area, while a slatted top introduces joins and gaps. Test small cups, writing or game pieces if those activities matter. A wipe-clean appearance does not remove the need to follow the product’s cleaning method.
Outwell advises drying the Calgary after liquid contact and avoiding prolonged wet exposure. For any metal-topped table, check the frame, joints and coating as well as the slats; one corrosion-resistant component does not make the entire assembly maintenance-free.
Check hot cookware separately
