If your camping electronics all charge by USB, a power bank may cover the job. A portable power station becomes more relevant when you need approved mains or 12V outputs, more stored energy or a suitable solar input. Start with the devices, not the product category.

Compare energy on the same basis
Use watt-hours when comparing stored energy. A power bank’s milliamp-hour figure depends on the voltage used to state it, so it cannot be compared directly with a station’s watt-hour number.
The Anker A1695 25,000mAh model is specified at 90Wh. The RIVER 3 Plus 286Wh holds more nominal energy, but neither figure is a promise that all of it reaches your devices after losses.
Check the particular ports
A power station with a large AC rating may still have a USB-C port that is too limited for your laptop. Conversely, a capable USB-C power bank can charge a compatible laptop without carrying a mains inverter. Check the device’s input requirements and the cable as well as the supply.
If several people charge together, inspect shared-output limits. The maximum of each individual port does not necessarily remain available when every port is occupied.
Account for the whole charging kit
Include cables, mains chargers and any solar panel in the weight and space comparison. Think about where the equipment will sit during use and how it will stay dry within its instructions. Carrying an extra output you never use is not automatically valuable.
