Motorcycle camping works best when the camping kit fits a secure luggage plan, rather than being strapped on after the motorcycle is already full. Check the limits for the bike, luggage racks, panniers and mounting system, then build the overnight kit around the space and weight that remain.

Separate riding requirements from camping comfort
Protective riding equipment, tools appropriate to your motorcycle, navigation and essential documents belong in the plan before optional campsite furniture.
