12V Camping Fridge: Sockets, Battery Capacity and Running Time

A 12V camping fridge needs a suitable electrical supply for the whole time it is cooling. Before choosing a battery, check the fridge’s input requirements, how you will recharge and what happens when the vehicle is parked. A large capacity label on a power station is only one part of the setup.

Start with the fridge connection

Then allow room around the ventilation openings and above the lid at camp. The unit is not luggage to bury beneath sleeping bags while running.
